Ron Marchildon 

The Penetanguishene Sports Hall of Fame family is extremely sad to announce the passing of one of our “founding fathers” and 2005 PSHOF Inductee, Ron Marchildon. Ron served as the Town’s Recreation Director for over 25 years, and his strong leadership coupled with the various recreational programs that he initiated have not only benefited our community, but it has also contributed to his own sports legacy that will be long remembered by all who knew him.

The PSHOF board wishes to express its deepest condolences to Chris, Cory, and Betty along with family and friends.

“The Penetanguishene Sports Hall of Fame family is sad to report the passing of long-time volunteer, Carol Tessier. Carol was one of our original bingo volunteers who devoted 25 years of service to the Hall.  Her love, dedication, and support of the PSHOF will always be greatly appreciated nor will it ever be forgotten.  The board wishes to express its deepest condolences to the entire Tessier family.”

“The second recipient of the Bob Bald Memorial Bursary is Robyn Donaldson from Georgian Bay District Secondary School who was presented with the $500 bursary at GBDSS’s 2025 commencement ceremony on June 26^th.  Presenting the bursary is family member Kelly Bald and PSHOF Vice-President, Bert Mason.”
